Twitter was introduced to me when I was in my sophomore year of high school and I continued to use it up to this day. At first, I only used Twitter to find funny videos and photos. Then I started to use the app to communicate with my friends and family. If I was a teacher, then I would have my students make a Twitter and have them tweet every week. This would help me connect with the students and the students will become more familiar with each other. Digital divine could make a huge impact on the student who does not have the electronic. If all of the other students had tablets and one student does not have that tablet, that student will have a harder time learning in my opinion. Everyone should have an equal opportunity when it comes to education. If my students are blessed enough to be able to use these electronic devices, then I can use them to help the students higher their education. If I had to pick two software tools for my class, it would be a hard choice. I think...

The ELA technology Standards are very important and should be taught to students at a young age. One of the standards I would feel comfortable teaching right now would be how to demonstrate independence. Students should be taught to personalize their work while still getting their message across to their audience. One standard I could use more learning before teaching is valuing evidence. I am not the best at showing all of my evidence. If I were a teacher I would definitely teach my students the importance of this so they can have this skill set in the future. There are a lot of very interesting and helpful tools on the CPALMS educators website. One of my favorite tools is the planner. I believe every student should have a planner and learn how to use it at a young age. I would make my students write in their planner every week and check to make sure they are taking it seriously. The planner helps the students see what they need to do on a certain day or for the w...

I believe that students and teachers use technology in the classroom for many different reasons. As a student, I have always learned more in class when we are not staring into a book. Some people are more of visual learners and understand what the teacher is talking about when they have a slide show or some kind of picture. Teachers understand this and have adapted to help the student as much as possible. The ISTE standards help students prepare for the future and make sure that the student is getting all of the information out of what they are learning. I believe I am a computational thinker. I always come up with solutions and quick equations to solve problems and to set myself up for success. The ISTE standard I am the least skilled in it would have to be "innovative designer." I am not the best at designing new problems to make problems. I believe the younger generations, including myself, are digital natives. A digital native would be someone who was brought up aroun...

I started using Microsoft Word when I was in sixth grade. I do not remember the first thing I ever wrote on Microsoft Word, but I  remember my teacher helping me understand the program. Now, I use Microsoft Word every week to write essays for class and to complete other assignments. My teachers also use this program to write out assignments for the students to read. For as long as I have been in school, there has been programs to catch students who plagiarizer their assignments. Students will turn in assignments that are filled with other people's words because they want to take the easy way out, but end up receiving an F because the teacher can simply place the assignment into "www.turnitin.com." This is one of the many programs people have made to catch people plagiarizing. If I was a teacher, I would use this program because students need to learn that they can not steal what someone else has already said. To prevent copyright theft, I would have every teacher to r...
