ILP Tech Tool Box- Google Classroom

I have chosen Google classroom for this project. The reason behind me choosing this as an important ILP Tech Tool Box is because of the experience I have with the tool. Google Classroom is very reliable and extremely helpful. You can create a home for your class in minutes and upload work, questions and anything else you may want your students to learn. https://voicethread.com/share/11785928/

In the future I could use surveys to ask students questions. I can see if they are enjoying the sections we are covering in class. I can get feed back from the students very fast and east. I could also make it a quiz and have the students enter their name before taking the quiz. I can then see all of the different answers and other data. This could be done with grades of middle school and above. I found what my classmates thought was interesting when reading their blogs. They were able to explain what they learned and liked about different assignments we did in class. This also helped me relate to my classmates more and feel like I knew them better than before. I also liked being able to talk to them about their blogs when I got back to the classroom and discuss it with them. I would like to learn how to Photoshop next. I believe this would be a great technology-related skill to have for the future. I like making funny pictures with other peoples face on them or their body and beco...

At first, I was not certain how Diigo could be used in the classroom. As I continued to use the app, I became a believer in the app and how it could be useful in the classroom. I like how you can analyze an article and send it to your whole class to see.  This application can help students connect with their classmates and help the teacher educated their students better. I have liked blogging so far. It helps me look back at what I have done and be able to talk about it for everyone to see. I have learned how to publish my own blogs using the Blogger app and how to make it look professional. I also like that a teacher can use blogs as a way to see how their students are feeling about a subject and what they are learning. A very interesting Web 2.0 tool is Skype. Skype is a video messaging system that can be used to talk to anyone around the world that also has a video camera. Students can use this to talk to professors or other students around the world and share information. S...

The flipped classroom takes out the in-class lectures. Instead of coming to class to hear the professor talk about the subject, the students watch them from home. Then, when they come to class, they can talk to the professor about any questions they might have and have a better understanding of what they are learning. I believe this would be the best classroom setting because students can get the help they need from the teacher and have time to discuss the problem.  Open educational resources are a very easy and effective way to find new information that you can use for your school work or projects. This takes out the need for a physical book, as you can just use the resources in the digital form.  https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/earth-atmospheric-and-planetary-sciences/12-090-the-environment-of-the-earths-surface-spring-2007/course-textbook/earthsurface_7.pdf   This is an informational resource I found for glaciers. This resource is 365 pages long and was found throug...

Blogger is a great tool for the classroom. It taught me how to annotate a page and be able to upload it for other classmates to see. This can be useful in the classroom to bring the students together and learn how to work with others. You can also ask the whole class a question and they can upload an answer through the website. You can use this website if you have a team member by the two of you being able to upload sources to a shared location. Also, individuals can use this website to upload blogs about a project or about other interest they have. You can help students recall and remember topics by putting them in a slideshow. You can explain concepts to students with power point step-by-step formulas. You can show students how to apply information into a powerpoint and study with it. You can show different concepts and ideas on different slides of a powerpoint for them to analyze. You can have your students evaluate slides on powerpoint. you can also create new things within power...

I have enjoyed using Twitter in the classroom setting. I have learned how to communicate better with my classmates and teachers. People post interesting material every day on the app that helps me further my education. Also, a huge benefit of using Twitter is following education accounts. They post daily about events, apps, and websites that are geared towards teaching and how to help others learn. The web design assignment taught me a lot about creating a website for my class. I like that you can set up a website for your class without a lot of hoops to go through. This gives the students easy access to communicate with the teacher and stay updated. The teacher can assign homework and questions from the website and even display grades. I learned how to ask a whole class a question and how to assign homework from this assignment. https://classroom.google.com/u/0/c/MjI3NTYxNzAxNjVa Assistive and adaptive technologies are very interesting to me. I am not sure which on...

For this assignment, I created a Google Classroom. I learned a lot about the application and would seriously recommend it to all teachers. I was so easy and simple to use. I set up homework for week's 1 and 2, asked the students 2 questions and set up assignments to be completed. The website was very easy to navigate. Google did a great job making this application for teachers. It will take less time for the teachers to communicate with their class and will be a lot easier for the students to be caught up.    https://classroom.google.com/u/0/c/MjI3NTYxNzAxNjVa
